This is an entry-level ceremonial grade matcha meant for usucha or "thin tea." It delivers a smooth, bold cup for casual drinking. Sold in a 50-gram pouch.
Harvested May 2025 in Nishio, Aichi prefecture, Japan. It is made from the Yabukita cultivar.
This tea was formerly called "Matcha Chiyo-no-shiro."

Steeping Instructions
Matcha Preparation
Sift 1 gram of matcha into a bowl to remove any clumps. Add 3 oz of 175°F (79°C) water and whisk briskly in a zig-zag motion with a bamboo whisk (chasen) until a fine layer of foam forms on the surface.
